DuoFrame ("we", "us", "our") operates the DuoFrame mobile app. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash — we never see or store it in plain text), and optionally age and gender.
• Content you send: photos ("snaps") and captions you share with friends, and your avatar image.
• Friend graph: who you've invited, added, or removed as a friend.
• Device data: a push-notification token so we can deliver snaps to your device.
• Sign-in data: if you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google via Firebase.

How we use your data

• To operate the core features of the app: sending snaps, managing friends, and notifying you.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure (OTP codes, password reset).
• To moderate abuse and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your snaps for advertising.

Snap expiry

Snaps are automatically deleted, along with their underlying image file, 24 hours after they're sent. A scheduled cleanup job removes expired snaps and unused verification codes on a regular basis.

Data storage

Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres database and file storage), hosted in the cloud. Access to production data is restricted to the people operating the service.

Your choices

• You can update your name, age, or gender at any time from your profile.
• You can remove a friend at any time, which stops further snaps between you.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app. This permanently removes your account data, your snaps, and your avatar.

Children's privacy

DuoFrame is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
